On April 11th, 2017, I will run 20 miles every day for 100 consecutive days to raise awareness of the Veteran Suicide rate currently estimated at 20 per day (Department of Veteran Affairs, 2014). This challenge will consist of runs that span across multiple states, counties and cities--carrying with it the message of my cause.
Upon completion of this challenge, a dedicated team of professionals, Veteran Advocates and I will be hosting a two and a half day retreat at Remuda Ranch Retreat & Empowerment Center in the serene and ecologically nurturing forests of Sisters, OR. It is designed to create the environment in which troubled Veterans can be released from past constraints and reconnect in mind, body and spirit. This retreat will include equine therapy, yoga & meditation, mental strength lectures, biofeedback modalities and therapeutic essential oil treatments.
100% of proceeds raised from this fund will go toward covering logistical and operational costs of my 6th Labor, the retreat as well as provide critical resources for the National Alliance to End Veteran Suicide, a nationally recognized independent 501(C)3 non-profit.
Your generous contributions are deeply appreciated and will help our vision become a reality.
We are currently taking applications for Veterans interested in participating in our retreat. For more information or to apply, contact me through the submission form at the bottom of the page.
Live Your Legend
Everyone is destined to be great at something...
Hercules was the son of the most significant figures in Greek mythology, yet he was made to struggle through incredible difficulties in order to fulfill the purpose of his life. It does not matter who your parents are or where you are from--you can and must make something of your life. You have a responsibility to yourself to fulfill that purpose and to be relentless in its pursuit. Nothing is impossible with the right mindset.
Your continued love and support is deeply appreciated. I hope my 'Labors' help raise much needed awareness for causes that I believe are worth every ounce of the pain and sacrifice that they encompass. I also hope to inspire you all to tackle your own challenges and overcome any adversity that you might face along your own journey to greatness.
